Staff Reporter The Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) has ordered the Eastern Cape High Court to hear an appeal by a man who was convicted and sentenced for murder after it threw out his appeal a few years ago. Lungisa Grifhs was convicted together with two erstwhile co-accused on November 28, 2018 in the Mthatha Regional Court on one count of murder. He was then sentenced to 16 years’ imprisonment. Staff Reporter A 47-year-old pastor has been granted bail by the Kroonstad Magistrates Court after appearing on allegations of fraud, theft, money laundering and contravention of the Banks Act. Seth Malefetsane Radebe, who is a pastor at Sanctuary Haven Church in Kroonstad, was released on bail of R10 000 when he appeared in court on Tuesday. Radebe is facing a total of 16 counts and is being charged together with his three companies, namely Sanctuary Havens Properties, Rehabale Incorporated and Rethabise Premium. Staff Reporter Free State police are looking for four unknown gunmen believed to be behind the murder of four family members on Monday night. Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Sam Makhele said the four men allegedly entered a house at New Stands in Thabong, Welkom, at about 9pm. “Without any warning, the suspects fired random shots at the family members inside the house,” he said.
