A statement issued by cabinet on Thursday said the intervention is in terms of Section 139(7) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa of 1996, read together with Section 150 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003). Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape has also been placed under national administration. Staff Reporter Four students are expected to appear in the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrates Court this Thursday morning for alleged involvement in the burning of two buildings at the University of the Free State (UFS)’s QwaQwa campus on Monday night.
