The Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team based in Bethlehem in the Free State is appealing to the public to assist in tracing Moeketsi Ntshasa who is wanted in connection with an investigation into a bogus investment scheme in which he is believed to have conned several people out of about R15-million.
Provincial spokesperson for the Hawks, Captain Christopher Singo, said in a statement released on Friday that Ntshasa is believed to have conned people over a three-year period with the promise of a 10 percent return on investment but disappeared without fulfilling the promise to the investors.
“It is alleged that between the period of 2018 until 2021 the victims invested their money into a company known as Integrated Investment Inn with a promise of getting an interest return of 10 percent,” said Singo in the statement.
“The victims did not receive their money as promised and the company is no longer available from its place of business in Ladybrand. As a result, the victims suffered a total loss of R15-million,” he added.
Singo said anyone with information that may assist the police in locating Ntshasa may contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Sidwell Mpholo, on 082 372 0386.
He indicated that all information received will be treated with strict confidentiality. – Staff Reporter
