Free State businesses as well as aspiring entrepreneurs have a chance to learn about new opportunities across the globe when business promotions company, MyArts International, hosts the Free State Market Access Expo on Tuesday and Wednesday in Bloemfontein.

The event, according to the company, aims to bridge the gap between big businesses, government, diplomatic missions and local entrepreneurs.

Diplomats from countries such as the Qatar, USA, Indonesia, Turkey, Kenya, Mozambique, Morocco and others represented in South Africa will be in Bloemfontein for this inaugural event to interact with entrepreneurs from the Free State in order to share information on trade opportunities in their respective countries.

The event will have, among others, a business exhibition, a networking session, business development forums as well as a guided industrial tour for the diplomats.

MyArts International director Denis Ackulay said the event is important because investing in the development of small-scale enterprises is crucial for the growth of the provincial economy and the country at large.

“Investing in SMME (small, medium and micro enterprise) development is crucial,” said Ackulay in a statement.

“. . . this is why we will be hosting a market access event between big businesses, government, diplomatic bodies and local entrepreneurs.

“The business expo will support enterprise and supplier development through the matching of good small businesses to buyers from government and large corporates.”

Companies in the mining, manufacturing sector, food and beverages, textile, information technology, engineering, infrastructure development, communications, marketing and tourism as well as the creative sector are urged to participate in the two-day expo.

The event is open to the youth, unemployed people and anyone seeking new opportunities in business. Young people will have an opportunity to showcase their talents and learn about the available support they could exploit.

Those interested can register on www.myarts.co.za.

The expo will also be streamed live on different social media platforms.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, there will be a limit on the number of people who can physically participate in the different events.
