Police in the eastern Free State looking for three girls aged 15 who were reported missing on Wednesday.
The three have been named as Trudy Twala, Karabo Dlamini and Reamohetswe Maria Mohale.
They are all learners at Mafube Intermediate School in Phuthaditjhaba.
Police specialist division, the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit, says the three were last seen on November 20 between 14:00 and 15:00 at a house in Mantsubise Street in Phuthaditjhaba wearing school uniforms and never returned home.
“A few days ago they were seen posting their images on Facebook,” read part of a police statement.
It said their school uniforms were found in a dust bin at a house in Mantsubise Street where one of the girls lives.
According to the police, this could be an indication that they left the school uniforms deliberately.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the girls may contact Lieutenant Colonel Lekhaoli Thito on 082 414 9736 or Captain Thabiso Moholo on 083 750 5366.
